CORPORATE AND DONOR SPOTLIGHTS
Impacting the Community and Mission
Through their generous support, our donors make a lasting impact on the community and our mission. We are thankful for individuals, corporations and foundations who choose to invest in the museum’s programs and experiences. Here are two such examples from the past year:
INDIVIDUAL DONOR: Rachel Perry“I feel passionate about the good work that the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites does, from the museum’s captivating changing exhibitions in Indianapolis to the maintenance and preservation of our state’s valuable legacy — the historic sites. I’m proud of and interested in the art collection which I helped to build and the sustainability of its care and archival storage for future generations.
“My loyalty to the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites stems from working for the museum system for 26 years. From beginning as a maintenance person at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site to becoming the director of all historic sites, then transitioning to my passion as the museum’s fine arts curator, my career has included sensitive and fair managers and a creative environment. I feel that it’s time to give back with a planned gift.”
CORPORATE DONOR: OneAmerica Financial℠ Pathways Junior Fellows Program
In the summer of 2024, 12 students came together through the OneAmerica Financial℠ Pathways Junior Fellows Program to explore the process behind museum exhibit development.
Facilitated by Indiana State Museum team members, these participants collaborated to reimagine the cultural history galleries of the Indiana State Museum’s second floor.
Focusing on Indiana’s modern history, culture, art and what matters to young Hoosiers, the students offered a fresh perspective that will help guide the redesign of future exhibits. ◆
